I assume this is the Anthem/Elevance/CarelonRx version of the “GoodRx Integrated Savings Programs” (this one doesn’t use GoodRx).
For what it’s worth:
1) patients can opt out
2) you can avoid the discount cards if you manually price the product to have a U&C at least $0.01 less than the discount card price would be (though you are still left with a lower reimbursement, this time based on your submitted price).
I’m thinking a “simpler “ way for #2 would be to sign up with a discount card who allows you to set aggressive pricing to flip these claims to. This would also allow your U&C to stay the same when billing plans who don’t use this scheme. We’d obviously first need to be able to identify these claims. Thoughts?
And change your U&C for all plans?
